i just took a little vacation and road tripped up to seattle and back. i'll write more about my trip later, but just wanted to post a photo since it's been a while. this is from the last day of my trip - this morning actually - near lone pine. the eight mile ranch burned down, but the gate made it through the blaze.

gotta love lone pine. good times.
That's a really cool picture.
hey pete...thought of a question for you while checking out this post...if you only had one day to shoot in Seattle where would you focus your time if money & transportation were not factors? You could spend as much money or have access to helicopters, boats, 4x4, etc.
Hey Kirk, thanks for a cool question!
Since time and transportation are not a factor (nor money), I would definitely warp. I would warp around to different places and people and take pictures. I would take pictures of the Kingdome and Alvin Davis, Mike Kingery, Mark Langston,Omar, Spike Owen, Ken Griffy Jr., Jay Buhner, and Edgar. An All-Time M's team photo. I'd warp out to Baker Lake and take photos of me and my family and our neighborhood friends camping, all wearing solid colored t-shirts with our names printed on the front. I'd warp out to Helen Keller elementary school (for the first time in my life, i just realized how ironic that name is)and take a photo of me and my best friend Jacob Beckwith and his dog Susie and his sister Veronica who loved Madonna and Paula Abdul and who i just randomly ran into at a church in LA after not seeing her for 15 years. Then I'd warp to the Paine Field Airshow with my dad and take a photo of an F-15. After that I'd warp to a really crappy day at ski acres and take a picture of me and my friends Larry and Story going off jumps in our team jackets. Then I prolly warp out to the big creek and take a picture of my fort and the rope swing that I think Matt Hardy made. Then I'd warp out to Kitty Jensen's house (Actually, I think i'd rather walk the 5 or so miles again, just for old time sake) and take pretty emo musician chick photos of her so that i could remember what she looks like now.
And anyway, I'd keep warping around to people like Chris Lynn and take a picture of him with the egg i dropped on his head from Hardy's window which we washed out with Pert Plus. And Byron, my wife Rebecca Hanratty, Paul Smith, Robert Headlee, Jeremy Wagner (both of them), Ann-Marie, and Melissa the Jehova's Witness. And places like Big Finn Hill, PK, Waverley, Sixty Acres, The Headlee's Basement, Dr. Shapiro's office, Kamiakin, and places like that. Then i'd take all those pictures and make a book.
And I would be able to do it because time, money, and transportation would not be factors.
ok, THAT was a great response, especially the part about the pretty emo pictures. the whole thing is a like a poem or at least a short story. the book you could make would be priceless.
